I can say that I used two pair of these in Afghanistan but the light tan color in a similar model. After an 8 month deployment they still survived and the soles were roughed up but they were so beaten up I threw them in the trash prior to redeployment. This newer version of the same boots are great. I would not wear them if I were going on a long ruck march. Also the laces are the same as the older versions of these boots. The laces are not made well and over time you will 100% need to replace these laces with real paracord laces you can make yourself. Also the laces are not long enough if you tie your boots the way I do for quick on and off so when you replace the laces when they break, make the para cord laces a bit longer. Aside from those things, the boots are light weight, durable, much more comfortable than issued Army boots but they cannot take a beating the same way real Army boots do like Belleviews. With that said, I’m not in the field much these days and when I am I’m in the desert and I don’t do a lot of rucking now because we use trucks or helos to get from A to Z. So for those reasons in my case I love these boots. If I was in the infantry, I would tear these boots up really bad like Nikes and all the other companies that try to make boots for military folks but with materials and design that are made for civilian use not to military standards. So these boots are worth $80 to $100 but try to buy them on sale. They are totally not worth over $100, you are just paying for the UA logo and brand. The little leather UA tab on one of my boots almost tore completely off after one month of just garrison use so that is not a big deal just a label and I do like these boots because they are confy and look great and other Soliders want them but most are too cheap to buy boots when they get issued boots. These boots are great for 8-12 months of rugged daily wear on rocky surfaces but after that, throw them away and get new ones. If you are going to Afghanistan, the sand and dust is a light color powder so get the light tan ones. If not, the Coyote brown will look like crap in about 30 mins from all the dust, sand and powder. If you are home in garrison then get the coyote brown ones. If you are in the military you can only typically wear the coyote brown ones so my comments about the tan color would be if you can wear what you want or your a contractor or a govie. Enjoy!

Once they’re broken in, they are very nice…lightweight & supportive. Most of all they are breathable for my 32 hour quad shifts in a correctional facility every week. Well worth the cheap price. Stylish look with the cross swords and underarmor logo are money…Material and shoe laces have held up for 2 months with no issues at all.

I purchased these boots because they looked nice and they are waterproof. I hike alot on the weekends for fun and I really needed boots. Sneakers arent very good for hiking, just so you know. The moment I saw these boots on amazon I fell in love with the looks of this boot, so I went right ahead and purchased them.

Update 11-22-15

It snowed yesterday so I went on a walk with my new boots out in the yard just to see how well they work in the snow. The inside of the boot stays dry and warm when you walk around which is good but when I came inside it was really slippery. I noticed that when the floor is wet the bot loves to slip around like if its a skating rink, and it kind of sucks. Pretty disapointed that these boots arent slip resistant.

My first impressions are just that these are very lightweight and comfortable. My dad has several pairs of Wolverine boots and those are basicly like hunks of lead compared to these boots. Seriously these boots are very lightweight and weigh less than most sneakers. Im in love with these boots and I will continue to update this review.

I purchased these boots 6 months ago. Within the first month my boot laces broke. I’m not going to judge a pair of boots based on the laces but I did think that was odd. I work in an indoor environment walking on cement floors for 12+ hours a day, 4 days a week. I’ve worn these boots everyday at work for the last 6 months. They are very lightweight and comfortable. However yesterday while tying my boots the top eyelet for the laces pulled right off the boot. Although frustrating, I was able to skip the top eyelet on the other side to match and just wrap the laces around my ankle once to get me through my shift. I called Under Armour with crossed fingers hoping they honor their product. Yup! Without skipping a beat they apologized for the inconvenience, emailed me a return shipping label and will be mailing me a brand new pair of boots. They informed me I am the first to report this problem so hopefully its just a fluke and yours will be fine. I maintain a 5 star rating for Under Armour’s customer service and lightweight comfort of these boots with its very reasonable price point.

Looks well made. Stitches and details Looks as expected for the price. Not as comfortable as they look. It has a plastic support under the arc of the foot that “I guess” helps with the support but if you are flat foot like me it gonna hurt after a few minutes of use. Be aware of your foot contour. I will be using it for a couple of days to see if I adapt my feel to it.

I wear 8.5 in all other UA footwear and 8.5 in these boots were way too large so I exchanged them for 8.0 and they are still pretty roomy. These are not sturdy boots and they are great for my purposes which is yard work. I bought them to use while weed whacking so grass stuff does not hit my socks. If you wore them for real work you would be disappointed. If you are in the service these could be office boots not real work boots. More like high top sneakers. Super light weight which is great. Would give them 5 stars if they cost around $60 which would be about right in my opinion.
