Type of Sublimation Paper
Sublimation paper is a type of transfer paper used in the dye-sublimation printing process. - Light-weight sublimation paper:

- Fabric: Light-colored polyester fabrics, such as polyester shirts, sports jerseys, and promotional items
- Medium-weight sublimation paper:
- GSM: 80-100
- Width: Usually 24 inches (61 cm) or 44 inches (112 cm) or 60 inches (152.4 cm ) or 64 inches (162.56 cm)
- Fabric: Polyester-based textiles, including garments, banners, flags, and soft signage
- Heavy-weight sublimation paper:
- GSM: 120-140
- Width: Usually 24 inches (61 cm) or 44 inches (112 cm) or 60 inches (152.4 cm ) or 64 inches (162.56 cm)
- Fabric: Thicker polyester materials like jackets, hoodies, upholstery, and other products that require a higher ink load
The temperature required for sublimation ink transfer depends on various factors such as the specific ink brand, printer, and fabric. However, a common temperature range for sublimation transfer is between 375°F (190°C) and 400°F (205°C). It’s crucial to follow the instructions provided by the ink and paper manufacturers for optimal results.
